I have HP dc7600, P4 3.2Ghz, 1Gb RAM. http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06b/12454-64287-89301-321860-f56-472276-472278-1137021.html
The Intel integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (945G chipset) is disabled by my NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE. I am using drivers 05/19/2006, 8.8.6.1.
In Device Manager | Display adapter:
This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
Problem that is no Aero UI in my Vista system. Any ideas?

no Aero with NVIDIA GeForce 6600 LE
The Intel 945G chipset is very powerfull what benefit are you anticapating by replacing it with a 6600LE? I have a 945G working fine with Vista Aero Glass the only trick was to allocate up to 128MB of memory in the BIOS and not just 64MB. I also am using the Lakshore chip drivers for the 945G from Vista WinUpdate.

1. The 6600LE supports pixel SM 3.0 whereas the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (that is what is in the Intel 945G) tops out at pixel SM 2.0.
2. The 6600LE does not use a shared memory model (it doesn't eat up system ram, well it does, but only a small amount and only when it needs it).
3. I'm using the even lower class 6200LE and it works fine in Vista, Aero and all.

Jon, I would say that Vista cannot define which card is which. You might try a Beta driver from Nvidia. Otherwise try going into display settings and changing it to areo manually.Otherwise I would suggest uninstalling the card and seeing if the Intel chip will do the job by boosting the shared ram to 128mb.

1. GeForce 6600LE have two video-output (DVI and analog). I need to have two displays. 2. External video adapter have own memory and don't use PC's RAM.

Yes, the 945G working with Vista Aero on this PC.
Yes, Vista cannot define video adapter. Can you say url to Beta driver from Nvidia? And how to tun on Aero UI manually?
The 945G working with Vista Aero on this PC. In Device Manager | Display adapter | "Intel(R) Lakeport Graphics Controller 0 (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) using memory 128Mb. If I am using Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor then in report only 32Mb.

I have a 62945 chip set and the Lakefrong drivers from MS. I had to allocate 128MB of memory to the chipset in my BIOS and upgrade my main memory from 512MB to 1GB in for Aero to work. Here is a link to the NVIDIA Vista x86 drivers:

You can get an Intel PCI card for $25 that adds a DVI interface to the 62945 chip set. IMHO the 62945 with both VGA and DVI will better handle dual displays then the 6600LE due it its higher memory bandwidth

Already I am using drivers exactly the version 88.61.
